Opportunities
We are currently looking for Healthcare Assistants to deliver care to our clients and families.
We provide ongoing quality training programs, from formal qualifications to in-house training programs, that will enhance your practical skills and knowledge.
You will work under the guidance of a senior carer or team leader, where you are expected to provide holistic care to our valued clients.
You will offer care and support to a named client to ensure their personal needs, such as washing, dressing, and help with feeding, are met daily. This can be on a live-in basis or visiting care.
What the role involves
- Assisting with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet
- Utilising equipment to move patients when necessary
- Helping tidy the patient’s home or room
- Taking the patient’s vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Talking to patients and reassuring them
- Attending meetings with other healthcare professionals
- Assisting nurses and other staff when needed
- Documenting the care, you have delivered in the patient files/notes
- Adhering to professional standards
- Delivering reports to Case Managers and reviewing any critical changes in the patient’s condition
- Adhering to the Aptine Domiciliary company ethos
- The role may involve travel between different clients to deliver needs
What skills and experience will you need?
Aptine believes in providing patient-centred care. A good attitude is required to deliver this care.
So if you are enthusiastic, eager to learn and work well as part of a team, we will provide training for you.
Care Certification and experience caring for people in their homes are desirable but not essential. Aptine will provide training.
